What is Play Therapy?
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach designed to help children express themselves,
explore their emotions, and work through challenges using play as a medium. Since
children often find it easier to communicate through play rather than words, this
method allows them to engage in activities that reflect their inner world. Through
various play techniques, such as drawing, role-playing, and storytelling, children can
safely process their experiences and develop coping skills.
Play therapy is beneficial for addressing a wide range of issues, including neurodiverse conditions, anxiety, trauma, behavioural problems, developmental challenges and much more, in a way that feels natural and engaging for young minds.

My Approach – Integrative Holistic Therapy
In my practice, I use an integrative holistic model of play therapy. This combines
various therapeutic techniques to address the individual needs of each child. This
approach considers the whole child—emotionally, mentally, and socially—and
tailor’s interventions to their unique situation.
By integrating a variety of therapeutic modalities like sand play, creative
visualisation, therapeutic storytelling, art, music and more, I create an inclusive,
flexible, child-led plan that promotes healing and growth.
This holistic approach ensures that therapy is not only effective but also respects and
incorporates the child’s personal experiences and cultural background, providing a
well-rounded and empathetic support system.
